I usually hate month ends at work, they are busy and stressful and full of grumpy people. Today, however wasnt too bad. Mainly because I am still quite ill, and my head was spinning the entire day. I probably shouldnt have gone in, but they dont give students sick pay. Bah

Yeah, tis most likely that you just have a really efficient cat in the area. They get fed, so can't be arsed to eat the whole of what they catch. I think the head is just a token gesture.

Sounds like a cat, it's owner must be pretty pissed off with all the heads being dumped on their doorstep :P
