Umm. .Gmail is like. .e-mail, but you have like 1000MB of space so you really don't need to delete things, it is by Google and the way you read your mail all looks like one big Instant Message. It's a bit cool. I mean. .its still new so its worth a try ;) Its fun to spam as well. .since it is like a big IM.

And *hugs you* I email people and you are one of the only ones who actually writes back!! Very cool.
