1. Are you single or taken?
Single.
2. Chocolate or flowers?
Well, flowers are beautiful and smell pretty, they really just sit there. So I think I'd prefer chocolates. Then I could share them with people! Alternately I could sit in front of the TV and eat them all. *is greedy*
3. Will you do anything special for Valentines Day?
No. I might have a film marathon. Fight club, and maybe the whole run of Die Hard movies, or something with cute guys in - Pirates perhaps. Oh, and there might be football on.
4.Do you like anyone?
Possibly. There are possibilities in the near future. I shall have to be patient though.
5. Were you dating anyone last Valentines?
Nah.
6. What would be your dream Valentines date?
It's going to sound lame, but dinner and a movie. Possibly a movie and dinner though so that if we're stuck for conversation we can either enthuse about or trash talk the movie. Which might open up further conversation topics. Of course if we'd been going out a while, then it'd be dinner and a movie at home...
7. Do you make a big deal about Valentines?
Ach, no. Probably wouldn't even notice it if it weren't for the immense advertising campaigns. Love is not for one day, but for as long as you can keep it, and should be celebrated everyday or not at all. And romance should be as spontaneous as possible, or certainly not forced within the confines of a specific day.
8. Have you ever had a secret admirer?
Possibly. That sounds dumb, but I did once get an unattributed Valentine's card. Since nobody ever claimed it, I suppose it was secret. However, if they admired me that much, maybe they should have come forward?
9. Would you ever write someone a love letter?
Write yes, send probably not. My feelings are... confusing at the best of times, and well, I wouldn't want to send anything that I wasn't certain I meant.
10. Do you believe in Cupid?
Cupid? A little fat kid in nappies that shoots arrows at people? No. The idea that there's someone out there wishing love and the happiness that comes from loving someone on people - I like that one. Although possibly Cupid is a evil creature that loves the chaos caused by unrequited love...
11. Do your parents give you presents on Valentines?
No. Never did. I remember my Dad doing special things for my Mum when I was little though.
12. Do you still send out Valentines cards?
I don't believe I have ever (since an age of not thinking boys are icky) sent a card. I think I gave one to a boy the one time I was going out with someone on the day though.
13. Do you like candy hearts?
Love hearts? Those little round things with cute messages on them!? Love them. They're pure sugar right? YUM. Other candy hearts include the ones you get in Haribo (also YUM) and weird ones with a waxy texture which are not as tasty.
Um, people, where did 14 go?
15. Is Valentines depressing?
Depends what mood I'm in. I get pretty irritated by the fact that it's a 'holiday' that not everyone can enjoy - people who don't get cards/gifts are looked down on by the loved up couples. Fortunately, my friends are a nice bunch who don't do that. However, it sucks if you're actually lonely on Valentine's Day.
16. How do you feel about PDA?
Depends how far you go. Swift kisses and hand holding is reassuring and mostly adorably lovely, but long drawn out kissing sessions and anything more is somewhat excessive and not something anyone should have to see.
17. How is your love life?
Dire. My fault entirely, I'm sure. However, I'm working on it.
18. Have you ever been dumped on Valentines?
No.
19. How many roses would you want?
I don't. Roses remind me of my mother and therefore carry hidden meaning and depressingness - they are pretty though, so if I were given some, I'd appreciate the feeling behind them, and their beauty despite their negative sides. I'd prefer interestingly coloured flowers, and flowers of a lily shape (Consolida for example - my birth flowers... or Irises) would be welcome and highly appreciated! Although my favourite lilies (Stargazers - an oriental hybrid) are poisonous to cats, so I'd have to be careful with those!
20. Will you have a boyfriend/girlfriend next Valentines?
Going on historical imperative probably not, but on the more hopeful side... maybe.
I am sleepy now, so I shall watch the rest of Fantastic Four and then go to bed. On that topic, I had to exercise so much self control not to buy a lot of things on my Amazon wish list today. *must not buy comic books*
