[Despite help from Seven and Momiji, the apartment is still a war zone. Mello's camped out on the couch with accumulated stuff--books, pillows, a coffee mug or two--close at hand. The booze he didn't throw out is on top of the fridge. There is, as far as he knows, one square of chocolate in the whole place, the one in his back pocket. Money's tight, but neither he nor Matt eats very much, and Mello decided ordering Chinese food as a surprise was an acceptable splurge if it'll get Matt to give up the silent treatment. He dishes up two plates of chicken chow mein and brings them out to the coffee table, hoping Matt will get back before the food gets cold.]
