Not being a bergamot fan, I'd have thought the Earl Grey was more Ukoku than Sanzo.

Ahh, I love Earl Grey. Yeah, I could see it being an Ukoku tea. Maybe even double bergamot? I'm kind of wishing that Adagio teas had more flavours to work with.

The good old days! I miss them. Remember when we obsessively added our votes when TokyoPop held that contest? The nostalgia!

Gojyo needs rooibos (red tea) and Hakkai? Well, there is something called Chi Tea which is - appropriately - green. So that should do.
And then there's dragon tea 龍井茶 for Jeep!
Thanks for showing the photos of the tea ceremony. I shall be drinking a cup for you here tomorrow morning, just to join in.

Yes, gunpowder tea would've been perfect! I love all of your other tea suggestions, too. Ah, someday I'll need to put together another ikkou tea party.
And I received your lovely card from Blackpool, with the beach donkeys. It was a cheerful surprise in the mail. Thank you for thinking of me on your travels, dear KK!

I'm glad that you enjoyed the donkeys. They seemed genuinely quite content with their lot and were friendly with the children queuing for rides and with their handlers so the animals seemed to be well-treated. I have some photos from the trip which I will try to email sometime.
Actually I am off to visit the post office later today - I find it difficult to grab internet minutes so sometimes writing a card gets done with less delay (the mail system can add the delay for me ha ha)
It is summer here, dear - grey, raining and warm enough to feel sticky. I don't suppose you ever have such summer days there!

Thank you so much for the package of yummy herbal tea and snacks and the card from Shropshire. The poem postcard reminds me of your own poetry images that you used to share in your journal. And I'm happy that you've been getting use and enjoyment from the Saiyuki shirt!
It's been too hot here! Huge thunderstorm yesterday has thankfully cooled it off.
