I made a thermos of hot Earl Grey tea, wore my Feel So Moon t-shirt (an awesome gift from my brother) and headed out to a nice, dark lot at the park to watch tonight's total lunar eclipse/super moon

No luck here. It was supposed to start at 3 am on a workday so i didn't even try :( When I woke up around six, it was overcast, so I guess I didn't miss anything. A pity I missed it though.
These celestial events are usually inconveniently timed like that, aren't they? Well, as you said, it was overcast anyway. Not much we can do about that.
It was 3 am here, when it happened. I was too lazy to get up in the middle of the night but my dad did and was lucky enough to find the sky crystal clear, so he took a lot of photos.
There have been times that I've skipped out on celestial events because of the late hour, too. And now that it happened at an early hour, those clouds had to make an appearance. At least your dad got to see it.
