Truly great people can just as easily appreciate fame as the average person.

It could even be thought that truly great artisans are only as such because other people worship what they do.

Great poetry is such not because the poet can sit and marvel at his own creation, but because it evokes awe and emotion in the hearts of others.

But my words heed little empathy, for you are Dave!

I've always seen gods as only seeking notice and adoration from other divine presences. Only your peers can give work meaning. Do I care if the insect enjoys my painting, or the grass my voice?
