Dots in Search of an Ellipsis (Are they being Naughty?)

If we're really being picky, I'll point out that there's a space between the word and the ellipsis. For example: "I'm editing this quote and taking parts out . . . to give this example."

Also, generally one finds the ellipsis used as in the above example, when one is quoting someone or something and truncates the quote. Rarely is it used to cut off a word. The more common way of cutting off a word is the dash.

For example: "Stop cutting off people who are talk-"

Just thought it was important that you all know. So yeah . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...... .. .... ..... . .
