A pretty normal day in my life, with a special fun evening.

About 7:20 I wake up the boy child. He's surprisingly upbeat for a Monday morning.

Get downstairs and open the blinds. There's been a PT Cruiser parked across the street for over a month and our neighbors called the police yesterday to tag it and it's been miraculously moved!

Brandon woke up super early this morning so he went out for donuts and coffee.

Husband takes Owen to the bus stop so I meal plan and make a grocery list so we can go shopping this afternoon.

Spend some time loving on my favorite kitty.

Go upstairs to get Annabeth's ballet stuff and clothes for the day.

Annabeth's crying at the bottom of the stairs because... I don't even know. She's become a cranky morning person the past few weeks.

From "sleepy PJ" lady to "put together even wearing makeup" lady.

Annabeth is still upset so we cuddle and I read on my Nook.

She eventually gets ready for ballet and we start the drive.

A bit early so we sit on a bench and wait. Annabeth asks for lipstick and then wants to take pictures.

Ballet class! They're getting ready for a recital in June and it's so adorable to see little 3 and 4 year olds trying to dance.

It's after noon when class is over so we have lunch.

Brandon is fading fast from waking up at 5:30 after not sleeping much the day before so instead of grocery shopping we just come home.

While Brandon takes a nap Annabeth and I play games.

Then we color. I did the bodies in the castle picture and I know it looks like an 8 year old drew them.

My back starts hurting from sitting on the floor for so long so I sit on the chair and Annabeth lays across my lap while watching cartoons.

I forget to bring my camera when picking up Owen from the bus, but he's home from school!

The kids color and play while I read more on my Nook.

We leave the house about 4:30 and check the mail on the way out. My Walmart Beauty Box arrived and I'm pretty happy with the contents for it being only $5.

McDonald's is the next stop to feed the children. Brandon realizes that he forgot his wallet at home so I switch into the driver's seat.

40 minutes later we're in Portland at OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Owen's school rented the museum for all the families to go for free.

It's a beautiful day for exploring and learning.

The kids have a blast playing with all of the science stuff.

My favorite people riding a pretend bus.

2 hours later we're heading for home.

Brandon and I didn't eat on the way to OMSI so I stop at Wendy's. I'm still full from lunch so I just get fries and lemonade.

It's Owen's bedtime shortly after we get back so I read him Harry Potter and get him into bed.

While I'm upstairs I collect bathing suits and towels for the kids' swim lessons the next afternoon.

Annabeth is passed out on the couch by the time I'm done.

Brandon's playing video games with his friends so I decide it's time to head upstairs for bed.

After putting Annabeth in her room I open the bedroom window since it's still over 75 degrees in the house.

Check on Owen.

PJ time.

There's a girl in my bed! She must have snuck in when I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth.

I don't have the heart to move her (and she'll just keep coming back) so I scoot her over and do some more reading.

Before I fall asleep I hear Cadence's bell on her collar and give her some nighttime scratches. Then it's time for sleep. Goodnight!
