1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper unless the gift is just too unwieldy and requires a bag. I am GOOD at wrapping oddly sized presents though...my dad would always get my mom stuff that was a bitch to wrap, and guess who got to do it? Yeah, my dad finally learned to wrap a gift at the age of 60 when I moved out.
2. Real tree or artificial?
Artificial. It's less messy.
3. When do you put up the tree?
Last year Shawn refused to let us put it up until the first day of December, but this year he wants to put it up the weekend after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down?
Right around New Year's.
5. Do you like eggnog?
Not really. It's too thick.
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
I got a tiny black & white TV one year...it was pretty awesome. Also the year I got my leather bomber jacket in elementary school, I was SO excited about that.
7. Hardest person to buy for?
My brother. That's what gift cards are for.
8. Easiest person to buy for?
Shawn and Julie.
9. Do you have a nativity scene?
No but I want one really bad.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
I'm pretty sure there were some ugly clothes from random relatives that I hated. Also, though I'm happy to have it now, the sewing machine my mom got me the same year I got the leather jacket. I thought I was opening the jacket and tried not to act disappointed when I saw the sewing machine.

November, or earlier if I see something perfect.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
My mom's party potatoes. They taste like holidays to me. A new favorite, my mother-in-law's sweet potatoes. Also, my grandmother's chocolate covered toffee...she doesn't make it anymore now that she's in a nursing home, but randomly my mother-in-law makes some just like it!! I was so happy when I found that out.
16. Lights on the tree?
Of course! I love turning off the lights and turning on the tree.

O Holy Night is my favorite hands down.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
We don't have far to travel, but we're constantly shuttling between my parents' house, Shawn's mom's house, and his dad & stepmom's house. So yeah, kind of a beat down. I really want us to have Christmas morning at our house this year if we can, just the two of us.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's?
Taryn did it for me! lol Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph!
20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Last year we had a snowflake, so I guess star? We're still looking for the right topper.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
I have always opened up gifts with my parents on Christmas Eve, then we do presents with Shawn's mom on Christmas Day and with his dad & stepmom sometime before or after actual Christmas. We haven't settled on when we open our gifts from each other...it's been different every year.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
Other people and their psychotic children. Wal-Mart.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
I love vintage looking ornaments like what used to be on my grandmother's tree.

Darla's chicken and stuffing...it's a nice change from the turkey.
25. What do you want for Christmas this year?
Santa came early with the new leather boots I needed!! So, really, some books and gift cards would be great.
