Where did you begin 2008?
In our two bedroom, vintage East Dallas apartment.
What was your status by Valentine's Day?
About to celebrate my first wedding anniversary with my sweet husband.
Were you in school (anytime this year)?
No.
Did you have to go to the hospital?
Yes, I had to go to the ER in September, as well as numerous trips to Medical City to see my doctor and have tests done.
Did you have any encounters with the police?
None, thankfully.
Where did you go on vacation?
Nowhere, unless Beaumont and Lake Palestine count.
What did you purchase that was over $500?
We bought two 16GB iPhones in August. That was a big chunk of change.
Did you know anybody who got married?
My cousin Nathan, my darling Mandy, and my long-time friend Keegan.
Did you know anybody who passed away?
This has been a hard year for death.
Did you move anywhere?
Thankfully no!
What sporting events did you attend?
I think we went to a couple of Stars games last year during playoffs.
What concerts/shows did you go to?
Eddie Izzard, Death Cab for Cutie, and I think a few other that are escaping me.
Where do you live now?
East Dallas, between the rich people and the 99 Cents Only store.
Describe your birthday?
We went bowling, then had everyone over for Guitar Hero, cake, and revelry.
What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?
Give up caffeine. Manage to write 50,000 words. Come up with a plan for the novel I've been wanting to write for three years.
What has/have been your favorite moment(s)?
Our wedding anniversary, random moments at home, good times with friends.
What's something you learned about yourself?
I am stronger than I thought but also more afraid than I thought.
Any new additions to your family?
Shawn's cousin had a new little one this year.
What was your best month?
This actually hasn't been the best year...March, I guess.

Made new friends?
Some here and there, both online and off.
Any regrets?
That I let my health rule my life too much this year. That I didn't write enough or focus enough energy on my life outside of work.
What do you want to change in 2009?
I want to complete the novel I've started writing, get back in shape, finish decorating the apartment, get organized, and take control over my stupid health issues.

What would you change about 2008?
I'd have been more insistent that I get tested for various things and not taken shit from doctors.
Other than home, where did you spend most of your time?
Work.
Have any life changes in 2008?
I gave up caffeine, am back on asthma medication and feeling a lot better for it, and I do exercises every day to strengthen my back.
Change your hairstyle?
More bangs, back to a darker color.

No.

My Eee PC, new digital camera, and my iPhone.

It's been kind of a constant thing this year.

Embroidery (really re-started), knitting (still trying to get into it), decorating

Are you happy to see 2008 go?
2008 was my first low year since 2003, so I am kind of happy to see it gone and start fresh.
Drank Starbucks in 2008?
A few times in the summer (I love the Tazo Iced Tea Lemonade) and once this winter. I'm not much of a Starbucks girl.
