So I finally got the two rascals that I adopted from the animal shelter. When I got them on Tuesday they stunk really bad and really needed a bath and some grooming, PLUS it was raining outside-YUCK. I took them to the vet first, they are pretty much in good health, except they both have "wave worms" or something, so they took meds for that. Isaac

That's pretty cool that you got the dogs just in time. As for the fish - beta fish live kinda long... they're small like goldfish but come in really pretty colours and I had one that lived for 2 years, after I bought it. Two years isn't the cut off though. Mine was already grown when I bought it. The only thing is, it's a lot of work to take care of them, which is surprising for a fish.
