I scored a one-day freelance gig yesterday, so my initial plans were put on hold so I could rush off to Manhattan. There's a chance I might get called in again today, if they need help, so the most I'll probably do is go to the library to return a book, but I can wait until tomorrow. I still have some job applications to fill out, though I may put those off until the evening.
Right now, I'm checking out some drawing tutorials. I think I'll have another go at drawing with the wacom stylus in photoshop. I'm still lusting after
THE ART OF CAPTAIN AMERICA, but it's not available via either bklyn.org or nypl.org. On the other hand, I do own a few anime-related art books, so maybe I should just be happy to revisit them, which I don't think I've done since I first started learning to draw.
In anime news, the new Miyazaki movie
THE WIND RISES is now being listed in Fandango with a release date of 2/21. Last year(?), I watched a series on netflix called
MUSHI-SHI and I saw in my twitter feed there's a second season being planned.
PATEMA INVERTED is the anime feature in the upcoming NYICFF, and tickets are now on sale.
New eps of THE WALKING DEAD start up tonight, which is exciting. Maybe I'll take some time out to play Left 4 Dead to get myself in the correct mindset. I still have a couple of weeks to finish up HANNIBAL before the new eps start. I'm all caught up on THE BLACK LIST and ENLISTED, but am now a couple of eps behind on THE GOOD WIFE.
