I found an online ruby quiz, and I seem to have retained a lot of info and made a few notes for my study guide on some stuff that I wasn't totally clear on. ANYWAY, hey, are you enjoying coding? (*waves pom-poms*) And if so, would you be interested in working on some code for the archive to build a code portfolio? A github account & AO3 experience is a great thing to have for job search purposes. We don't really have training capacity right now, but if you're doing ruby on your own anyway and would like to noodle on the archive instead of just random test projects, I can talk to mumble about it and hopefully get you set up to contribute, if you want! :)
*word, not work, even :P

I have a github account under my real name, I can PM you the info for that and my codecademy account, if you want to see what I've done so far there. Nothing in the github account as yet, as I'm reviewing two different "github for designers" tutorials today.

Let me talk to mumble -- you can definitely start by forking the archive on github if you want to. Just go to https://github.com/otwcode/otwarchive/ and click the "fork" button and you'll get a copy of the entire archive code in your own repository, which is the first step. Another good project to fork and browse through is the rails project itself -- https://github.com/rails/rails
Bootcamps are a great idea, the only issue is the expense/time commitment -- have you seen https://www.hackerschool.com/? That one's free and offers grants for women. Are you going to be at fan thursday this week? Let's talk then! I will totally pimp coding at you some more haha. :D

I saw that one! The flatiron school, which I think is also free, is the one elz mentioned.
I just volunteered to organize for Thursday, so check your email! ;)
