His first day in the office, Chloe sat him down in front of a computer and handed him a pair of headphones and a set of language learning computer programs and told him he also needed to enroll in Latin classes. No one ever told him this job would require homework.

"Spencer, I'm so, so sorry," Chloe said, genuinely concerned for him as they sat in the emergency room, Spencer holding a bloodied bandage to his hand.

"I know, Chloe," he said, mouth turned into a frown as he sat on the gurney, waiting for a doctor to come check out his hand. "Just for future reference, next time you're housing cursed boxes and such, stick a post it on them or something."

"I thought that was understood with anything in my office."

"Yeah, well, I thought there might have been candy in it."

He was driving a getaway car. A mother-effing getaway car.

Spencer let out a breath, banging his head back against the headrest as he waited for Chloe.

And it wasn't even a cool getaway car like in a Bond movie.
