Wait, you're due when?? (week 31)

For the record, it's 9 weeks, or by casual calendar view, 2 months from Sunday, December 18. I'm finding that now that we're down to single-digit weeks, Mike and I are starting to realize we gotta get stuff done, and that our friends/families are just starting to realize this is actually happening!

My second shower is Sunday, and that seemed so far

I'm pretty sure she's bragging to all sorts of people, and meanwhile warning me several times that I will need a bedpan IMMEDIATELY after the baby comes out. :) That's my Mom.

Yes, as I discovered when she sent me an email very worried about my acid reflux. :) I asked if she wanted me not to talk about her in LJ and she said she could stop reading it if I wanted. I'm not saying anything I wouldn't or haven't said to her though so I said I didn't mind.

I had to buy my own diaper pail and sheets too. They really just aren't cute enough. :)

I still have quite a pile of stuff for you - clothes and blankets and socks and all sorts of things, sized newborn through nine months. One of these days I should find a way to see you in person instead of typing at you once a week. ;)

I'm actually not kidding that at this point I don't have any more room - our closet and dresser are FULL of 0-6 month clothes, so we really only need 6 months up. But blankets, swaddlers, socks, all that stuff I'm happy to take! I told Angela she was responsible for shuttling items - not that I don't want to see you too, I just know how busy life can get. :)

I can also temporarily store a bag or two in my closet if need be.

We didn't get together this afternoon - my stomach was acting up and she was massively busy.
