Home stretch...

Last weekend Melissa and I hiked in Big Basin - we actually chose, of our own volition, to hike up around 350 feet, then down about 1100, then back up the way we came. So overall it was around 1500' elevation change, but hiking down first, which I'm not a big fan of, to say the least. But luckily the weather was perfect! Blue sky with a few clouds

That is my favorite point of training, when the things that looked nearly impossible at the start have become simple.

Yeah, it's a nice feeling, having that faith in yourself. How are you doing? On the mend?

I'm doing all right. I feel like I'm a day or so ahead of where I was the first time, still taking naps but not quite as far out of it. The advantage of two surgeries is this time I know what to expect.
