Who: Sheena, Chitose
What: I miss my mommy.
When: November 2, 2008 - Early Afternoon
Where: Meria

Sheena had gone back to her cave; it wasn't that bad. She'd survived here before, she could survive here again. But this time was a little different; this time, she couldn't stop feeling envious of everything.

Stupid Zelos ... why can't he stick to just one girl? I'm that girl. Or, I should be.

My kids obviously like their father more. Why can't they have that same love for their mother?

Wish I weren't in this stupid cave. Wish I could be somewhere warmer. I could get up and travel, I guess, but ... damn it, I wish I had the motivation to do that.

Sheena growled to herself, fisting one of her hands and punching a nearby ice wall. She breathed for a few moments, then looked to her hand. She frowned.

"Wish I could use healing spells," she murmured to herself as she saw the bloodied state of her hand.

There was a small crunching of ice nearby, and she turned her gaze to see ..

"... mama?" Sheena's eyes widened.

"... Chitose?" Chitose stared, the offered a tiny smile, running to her mother and giving her a hug. Sheena froze for a few moments, before, careful not to get any blood from her hand onto the small girl, she returned the hug.

"Chi, what are you doing here?" Chitose pulled away a little bit, looking to her mother with a bigger smile.

"I missed mama. I came to see you." Sheena felt her gaze soften, and she pulled the girl in for another hug.

"I'm glad you came," She said softly. Chitose pulled away again after a few moments, a slightly sad look on her face.

"Hafta get back to papa ... Papa will worry."

Sheena felt her face contort into a painful frown.

He's going to take her ... I won't see her again. I'll never see my daughter again ... Sheena then reached out and pulled Chitose against her, holding her tightly. Chitose let out a small squeak.

"M-Mama ...?"

"You're not returning to him," Sheena said coldly, her eyes hidden by her bangs. "I won't let him take you from me. I wish I had the relationship with you children that your father has ... and i'm going to get that."

Chitose felt her breath hitch.

"Papa ..." She squeaked. Sheena smiled sheepishly.

"Don't you want to stay with mama, Chitose? You don't need your father. No matter how much we wish we could need him ..."

Chitose felt tears in her eyes. "M-Mama, please ... Papa will--"

"FORGET HIM! FORGET YOUR FATHER!" She screamed, her echo silencing anything Chitose would have said.

And they were silent for several moments afterward.

Sheena then pulled out her D-Comm, setting the recording option.

"I have her, Zelos. She's not returning to you."

And then she set Chitose up, standing herself and taking one of the girls' hands with her not-bloodied one.

"Let's go."
