Who: Adelle and Piyomon, ??? [OPEN]
What: Adventuring, right? Right?
When: February 10th, 2009 - late morning
Where: Near the Royal Base, into the trees
The last few days for Piyomon had been awkward at best. This new form of his - if only for a week - had been getting the best of him in more ways than one.
A little, wicked, evil voice kept telling him that now - now this was a lot easier. He didn’t have to worry so much about the “different species” thing. So what if he was normally a Digimon? It would be so much easier after this - because he had, at one time, been human, and that made a difference.
But it wasn’t that easy. It was not at all. Even though they looked nearly the same age - his physical body a few years older than hers - he knew the real age difference and he didn’t need anything else. That refused to sit right with him, and then of course he was her partner. That didn’t sit right with him either.
And yet he still agreed to it. He proposed it. They “adventured” as she called it - for the last few days. He and Adelle. They just wondered around the Royal Base and the area immediately surrounding it, but it meant all the world to her.
"Piyomon! Piyomon!" Piyomon glanced up at the tree branch where his Tamer sat and watched her literally glow with happiness, sticking out her tongue at him. "Piyomon, climb faster!"
And that he did. This human form - he hated this about it. He missed his wings so much. He could’ve been up to that low-laying branch in seconds with them. The sooner this virus was over...
When Piyomon reached the branch, he pulled himself up and took a nice, deep breath, leaning against the trunk. Adelle giggled. "Oh, Piyomon. You need to climb more!"
"I’ve never really needed to, Miss Adelle." He replied without thinking, a light smile on his lips. "That’s what the wings were for."
With a laugh - not like the giggle, but a laugh - she reached over and poked him in the arm. "Well, I knew that~!"
And then - and then Piyomon froze. He heard something again. A crunch from down below.
And then he heard something else.
