Everything was in full swing at the opening of The Looking Glass. The deep bass beat from the sound system reverberated through the walls of the building, so loud it could be heard for blocks away. Luckily the location of the club was in a downtown area where most businesses were closed by the time the club even opened.

One side of the place looked like any other night club that might be found in a big city like Vegas or New York. Neon lighting bathed everything in ethereal glows of pink, green, yellow and blue, the dance floor was lit up with similarly colored squares, and the DJ's kiosk had lighting that flashed and oscillated to the beat of whatever the DJ behind it was playing, matching the same spinning and twirling lights that lined the sides of the dance floor. Lasers danced on the dark ceiling, twisting in shapes and patterns.

The other side was much more distinct, like a trippy, neon version of the infamous Wonderland. Twisting plastic trees and plant life in ridiculous colors were everywhere there wasn't a table, bar, chair or dance floor. The couches in the corners were in the shapes of giant mushrooms, and flat waterfalls against the wall changed colors at random. There were tables that were bigger than most people, chairs that were far too small, and a black and white tiled floor where the bar was would shift the squares around whenever some one walked around on it. A wall of wavy glass separated the two sections, giving anyone viewing through either side the sensation like the other side might very well be some sort of dream world they could get to just by stepping through. Of course no one could actually step through the glass, but there were entrances in place in several spots to allow free movement between the two areas.

The bars were stocked with almost every alcoholic and non alcoholic drink imaginable, though on the "Wonderland" side of things had slightly weirder bottles with even weirder labels. Drinks were served in funny shaped glasses with little note cards, just like the bottles that chanced Alice in the Wonderland stories. Severs on that side also had their faces painted up like playing cards and wore suits or dresses of red or white depending. The "Real World" side was decidedly more boring, but the staff was still expected to look nice.

Ritsu stood behind the DJ kiosk, watching one Daisuke Morimoto work. He had already come in before the club opening and showed Ritsu what he was capable of, but the small Asian continued to impress him. No wonder Haku's assistant mechanic was so in to him.

The UTAU's multicolored eyes scanned the club, a smirk on his painted lips, dressed in a red and white playing card dress. This was a better success than he had anticipated, and he was stupidly proud of it all. It certainly wasn't where Ritsu imagined himself in a year, or even two, but it was worth it none the less.
