I'm getting 1/4 of the meat from a 1 year old steer tomorrow. Ground meat, sirloin steaks, tenderloin, rib-eye steaks, fillets, and sirloin tips :) I don't know the cow's name yet but I'll thank it for the food when I find out

Mike and I have talked about doing that - A lot of his family have farms and I think his brother or cousin raises cattle.

Actually, I got quite a bit of meat! I got 37 packs of ground meat and after measuring 3 random packs they all weighed 1.7 lb. We had burgers tonight. It's some yummy meat!

If you're going to do that you gotta buy a chest or upright deep freezer.
