No money in our pockets and our jeans are torn...

The Taylor came home tonight.

I don't think I've ever been happier with a guitar right out of the box. I usually have to spend an hour or two restringing, readjusting action, and reintonating before it's at its best.

Not so with this one.

It's no $3000 Taylor, but for the money it's hard to top. Martin doesn't come close.

More later.

I got a Taylor 110. It's the "budget" Taylor, a step above the Baby Taylor, but certainly not quite the same as their 3xx and higher series. It's a dreadnaught style with solid spruce top and laminate sides. The laminate really helps bring the price down...but I couldn't tell much difference between the 300 and the 110 playing-wise so I opted to go the budget route for now. I may revisit that in years to come ( ... )

Dang that sounds nice. Dillion ones have those cool triangular soundholes, right?
I can't deal with the ovations. I want wood. Plus, the curved back kinda slides around too much for me.

I yam jealous.
But I do like my lil parlor guitar.
Except I wish it had a front strap button. I would add one if I dared.

Anyway.
Congrats! Happy Twangin'!
