What I see.

It's pretty out.  There is a nest in a corner outside of building 2.  The parents were guarding it and chirping eagerly.  I could hear smaller voices when they'd return and peak their heads in before flying off for more worms.  The one kept his/her guard just a few feet away on the ledge, loudly proclaiming his presence so STAY AWAY.  The other ( Read more... )

When I reach the top of Galbraith or Chuckanut or Beezley while biking, I often sit up there for half hours at a time, looking down on the world below me and wonder the same things.
I won't even go into the profoundness to be found in the airplane window seat.

Others do see, but it is not obvious that this is so or in what way. A close friend from back in my MIT days articulated that it is a miracle to be allowed to perceive; and she is right. Focus on that odd realization does make you see things in a different way.

Thankfully, it doesn't last at that level of intensity.
