Oh my goodness, my summer hols have been so busy that I completely forgot all about this little book until I was looking for my favourite pair of socks and it jumped out and tried to attack me. Guess I haven't been writing in it as much as it would like. I haven't even been reading it, really, so you can imagine how shocked I was when I read all ( Read more... )

Seamus, it severely mussed my hair. It had to be attended to!

I'll be down as fast as I can. I still haven't found the socks I wanted. You haven't hidden them, have you?

It didn't! It knows your weaknesses, Lav. That's the trouble with diaries of any sort.

Now, why would I hide your socks...? I mean, maybe if they were interesting and cute socks I might be tempted...

It did. I looked a mess, I tell you. I've repaired myself though.

I have no idea why you would hide my socks, btu perhaps you have, since I can't find them anywhere. They are awfully cute, which is why they are my favourites. They're purple with silver stars on. Have you seen them? Perhaps you ought to come help me look, or I'll tell your mum about your sock pinching habits.

Is it Gryffindor law that all unfortunate events that have nothing to do with Gryffindors whatsoever require half-hearted, unsincere mention of some sort?

I was not insincere. And it's not law, just, oh, I dunno, MANNERS.

You've no reason to be sincere about any such thing. I believe it distinctly rude to offer mimed condolences when they are clearly not wanted.

Why not? What's wrong with sympathy? My condolences were not mimed! And I haven't seen anything from Parkinson saying they are unwanted. At any rate, it's the normal thing to do, and while you yourself are clearly quite abnormal, you're also soft in the head if you find this sort of thing unexpected.

Perhaps you would like me to make a retraction? Well, I won't or then I'll get accused of being insensitive again.

Of course! Also, you've absolutely got to come visit Seamus with me- Ireland is so lovely.

Fine. I still say he's prickly, though.
