Where is my John Wayne?
Where is my prairie song?
Where is my happy ending?
Where have all the Cowboys gone?
-Paula Cole, "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone"...this is what happens when I leave my radio on SEEK instead of just putting a cd in, and then it gets stuck in my head ( Read more... )

Yay for new stories! I can't wait to read them, so don't forget to send them to me once they're finished.

I... don't like that song. I hated it on the radio. Fortunately, I have "Faint" in my head, and that one has been unsuccessful at replacing it. Of course, I could sing "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?" better than I can rap. Period.

I just love the whole idea of Kestrel living in the stacks. I'm such a book nerd.

Have a good weekend. Go Army!

hehehehe yeah I actually hate the song too but it just has gotten stuck in my head (just the chorus part) because I was just letting my radio shuffle through - very dangerous...oooh "Faint"!!! Now there's a good song!!! ^_^

I love that about Kestrel too! :D Books are so much more wonderful than reality in a lot of ways :)

No, no silly :D No go Army...GO UCONN!!! ^_~ hehehe ok ok I suppose I can let you "go Army" because I love you and well that is up your alley isn't it?! :D

I hate that! Get a new song in your head... like... "Forgotten." I'm such a fangirl. I do so love "Faint"!

Aren't they though? Reality is just all sad and depressing.

My dad was in the army... So... Go Army! Not like they'll win though. They rarely do.

So glad I don't suffer from terminal girl syndrome. I mean... flowers are nice, and I like getting them, but it's not a big deal.
Not to mention Kestrel being a total library queen as a kid. That just rocks.

I totally agree, I mean I'm a fan of the occasional fangirling over movie/tv/book sap but yeah I'm not really into all the present stuff...I mean the occasional surprise is sweet but you should see some of the girls I know...one of my suitemates would get flowers every single friday when her boyfriend showed up to visit (doesn't the thought seem hollow and meaningless after awhile)...no way am I that high maintance!!! Thank goodness - I'd have to shoot myself!
And reading is totally underestimated these days..

Yeah, no kidding... I don't want anything because someone thinks they should. If they're going to bother, it should mean something. Gah.

Reading is the other thing I do, besides being online. Before online, reading was pretty much it. Even though I suppose one could argue that online *is* reading, as most things are based in text?

I totally understand the winter love :) I'm a January girl so that's full out winter here - it's great!!! Nothing like the smell of snow on the air, especially if it's the first snow of the year...I love how it just mutes everything, so soft and gentle *sigh* Now I want winter, but first we have a wonderful New England Fall to go through (that is really this part of the US's trademark season)...nothing like fall in New England!

I'll send you the profile soon :D
