...ramblings...
*happy sigh* Bubble baths are great things...
Ok so since it looks like I freaked some people out with my 'hints' about the concert last night, I figured I should clarify some stuff:
So I as orignially told by the Centrum that all General Admission tickets were seated, well when we got there it was a free for all (we ended up second row - could reach out and touch them, which was cool but ended up being bad for me). It wasn't too bad until the opening act left and people knew the Beasties were next. Andrew left to go sit and watch the Yankee-Sox game over in the waiting room of the ER across the street because he was getting pounded. I stayed for about an hour into the Beastie Boys performance but by then it was just too much. I was getting crushed (couldn't breath at one point because my bag was going into my stomach), I had ash from a joint burn the back of my neck, guys were drinking cups of beer and then spitting all over us (I had a thin tank top on so I heard one say something about a 'wet t-shirt contest', I was getting groped, and it was just all bad. Erin being 6+ feet tall was doing fine but for me it wasn't so good (i'm only 5'3", 106lbs...not good in a crush of people much MUCH taller than me). Someone even pegged Adrok in the head with the brim of a Red Sox hat at one point (they Beastie Boys are NY boys) and then they started a "Yankees Suck" chant (classy huh?)...the guys even told them to knock it off at several different points. My salvation were these two girls, Rita and Sarah, who I be-friended next to me (they were much bigger than me and kept helping to shove people off of me when I got separate from Erin). I finished off my pictures and then Rita and Sarah were going to try and find seats up back so I went with them. Some guys tried to pick a fight with Rita as we tried to leave (they were screaming at us "stupid bitches" etc, shoving us, grabbing us, and threating us because we were in their way...I just clung to Rita's hand). Once out I was told by an usher that since I had a GA ticket I could only go to the floor. I couldn't sit in any of the numerous empty seats or stand in the back where people were dancing because it was a fire hazard, so I ended up getting kicked out, along with Rita and Sarah! So I ended up calling Andrew (cause there were a bunch of really sketchy guys watching me standing outside the Centrum all alone) and the two of us went back to the ER to sit and watch the game until Erin got out (I was shaking so bad when I got out I just broke into tears on Andrew - I was so mad and frustrated and relieved to be out of all that). Of course after I left they played all my favorite songs...but at least Erin had a blast! And I did get to see them very close and the songs I saw were great and I got lots of pictures but I was so upset that I spent all that money and was really looking forward to it and I ended up getting screwed! *sigh* Erin thinks I should write the Centrum, especially since people were yelling and waving at the Crowd Control guys and they just ignored us (front row people were waving too). A fight broke out behind us too and I thought I was going to get sucked under at one point. It was scary, and I have been in GA areas before and never had it this bad. And I've been tired to people at work telling me and Erin "what did you expect?!"...*growl* people suck!
*sigh* but I'm home and things were ok today...Andrew even asked me to come watch the game with him tonight which means so much...speaking off I should go over soon...but yeah, we were ok and I'm sorry for freaking people out!
*hugs* to kenkon_yume and her friend...I'm soo soooo sorry - you're poor friend! People do suck!!! I don't get this world anymore...
OH and some reminder thingies...
1.) I want to make a "Friends Only Banner" themed around Dom so if you guys have any good pictures please send me links to them...
2.) I want to add a little bio to my lj userinfo page and I figured who sees me better than the people I know, so your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to post some thoughts on me...could be a link to a picture, song lyrics, a quote, comments on what you think of me, how you see me, something quirky or silly, or something serious...anything you guys feel like postings. I'd really like to get as many people as I can to post a little something (I'll be sure to credit who said what to in the bio part). Just have fun with it ^_^ Ok so this really wasn't an original idea, I just skanked this fabulous idea from kimikoneko and kenkon_yume (what can I say, they are brilliant! ^_~).
3.) A lot of people are doing the "leave a comment and I'll make you an icon from your lj interests" lately...well I can't make icons yet but I was thinking about how lyrics really express things that often times we can't put into words...so if you want post a comment and I'll send you back lyrics that make me think of you ^_^ kinda an extention of my userinfo bio idea...
