I hope there is too! It's just not them if someone's not being shanked, imo. Lately that someone has been Julian, but what can you do?

It always strikes me how similar Ronan and Dairine are about things, only she's not as good at not making a big deal out of things because I said so because she's younger, but yeah the whole OH GOD I'M SO BORED AND THIS SUCKS AND I CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING 8( 8( 8(

Hahah yeah, Ronan and Dairine always have to be moving somewhere. Ronan's just better at hiding it because of the cultural quirks of Ireland and how their brand of wizardry involves a lot more forethought and a lot less jumping in. Ronan is particularly impetuous and impulsive by Ireland's standards, he's just not as bad as the American wizards so it's not as noticeable. It's only when you realise things like "dude, he built a what in the month between books" that Ronan gets caught out. Whereas Dairine is pretty openly focused about it all.

(There's also the part where Dairine's whole life has been spent on this relentless pursuit of knowledge, whereas Ronan's drive is really to find out who and what he is now.)
