Returning To Journaling

Haven't written in this journal in 8 years.

I thought about starting another but felt like writing here anyway.

It seems like a distant dream when I was this partying fool chemically ascending his way through spirituality, philosophy, intellectual pursuits, learning new trades, artistic endeavors, and sexual decadence.

It all seems so surreal now.

Funny how the time goes past like that isn't it? I used to be on LJ daily. Someone just sent me an email to let me know I hadn't posted in a year. I've been struggling to post in here since about 2008. The massive acceptance of Facebook had something to do with it. Someone breaking into my account and letting my boss know about some negative things I'd said about here while blowing off steam one day was another factor. Luckily I got a chance to apologize to that boss before her untimely death. I truly wish Facebook would never have come along. Other than just being a huge time suck, it is run by questionable people for questionable purposes. No one should have that much power. Good to read you again though.

Yes. Facebook can suck you in.
In the past I have blown off steam posts, usually drunk on wine, only to wake up the next morning and do damage control.
I've learned to curb myself since.
It beasts the old drunken phone calls of the 1980s. Lol!
