Someone told me that it's a Canadian thing to say 'Eh' (In the Canadian way, apparently) and I'm seeking conformation from you.
I say 'eh', but apparenltly I say it in the Queenslander way. (Which is probably why it comes out more 'ay'. Blood surfies.)

I always say 'eh'. I guess what it comes across as is 'Hey?', but then shortened. The first time Tricia heard me say it, she giggled... I kid you not.
Although, I'm not to sure what a Queenslander 'eh' would be, though.

I can imagine tricia - who has one of the most amusing accents I've heard in quite a while - giggling at that.
I'm off there tomorrow, so I'll let you know what a Queendlander eh sounds like when not spoken by a New South Walesian.
