We finally talked to my husband's family...thank god. I have been so worried about them. T's mom said they cannot go back to Port Arthur for a month because there is no sewage, water or electricity right now. They don't know the condition of their home either. I just read that it takes 35 minutes of brisk walking to burn off the calories of one soda. Hmm...my recent re-awakening of my taste for Dr. Pepper is officially over.

On our evening walk last night, we walked past some new apartments, on our normal walk route, that are not finished just yet. Oddly enough, there was a family having dinner on the first floor balcony of what I suppose will be their apartment once these are finished.
