How do you measure a year?

I ended the year 2005 in such a way that summed up my entire year. There were lots of laughs, disappointment, loneliness and good friends. I began the day by cleaning my entire house, as it hadn't been cleaned since I'd returned home from Christmas. 2005 was a great year for both of us. We didn't do anything on New Years Eve. (except sit on the couch and watch Dick Clark and drink some great non alcoholic cider). I had to work that day and the day after.
