This actually brings up something about economics that I find interesting. I think most people have natural concepts of "ownership" of business based on a model of small single-proprietor and partnership businesses, where a change in ownership generally means changes in direction, too. Mergers in corporate institutions are generally a different beast.
For example, companies like my employer sometimes buy out a startup for no reason other than they're tired of having to call them for tech support and find it easier to have the company working out of our own offices.
This is quite true... and, if nothing else, Marvel is a big enough organization that unless there was a massive takeover (remniscent of the "horror stories" from the 80's) even big changes would take awhile to be felt/ seen...
Kind of like throwing a pebble in a lake... it may be a bigger pebble but it will still take time for the ripples to get to the other side...
