using PUL

I'm thinking of experimenting with using a strip of PUL, about 2.5" by 6 or 6" under some of my pads that don't have PUL in them.  Should I zigzag the edges, or is it okay to leave it raw?

If you're just using PUL on its own, you don't need to zigzag the edges. The laminate will keep it from fraying. :)

I tried that - it's a good idea (and works) *if* the PUL lays flat. The PUL I got has a serious rolling problem and won't lay flat by itself, I'm planning to sew it to a piece of flannel, hopefully having the 'extra' weight attached to it will keep it from rolling up into a PUL-cigar :\
