After trying out some different styles and fabrics for making liners I've decided I most like flannelette (just 2 layers which I sew inside-out, turn right-side-out then overstitch). I did start with liners that were the same width as my underwear but as that felt like having a wadded up bit of fabric in my undies I switched to the narrower width of my disposable liners which bunches up my undies until I put them on. The narrower width fits better and is more comfortable so I feel like I have that part right now.

I don't usually wear boy-cut but have a couple of pairs of that style and some of my pantyliners will slide backward like you describe because the liners were made for a thinner crotch and the snap settings on the wings aren't far enough apart so they'd kinda pull the whole pad down..kwim?

Hmmm... crotch width. When I tried the wider crotch width liners they bunched up. The ones I'm using now don't. But maybe another attempt at a width in between is worth a try.
