New to making cloth pads

hi im new to using and making cloth pads and have ordered some Quilt Wadding for the core of my pads without thinking if that would be suitable to use, to use it i was thinking of sandwiching it between 2 layers of terry and i have got some waterproof nylon fabric instead of PUL, anyway, do you think using Quilt Wadding would be ok?

thanks

I'm sure it's usable at first, but to be honest, I don't think quilt wadding is a good choice. It's not dense, so it's ultimately not that absorbent. Also, over time, due to all the washing pads go through, I suspect it will shift giving you lumpy pads with spots of no coverage.

I think it'll hold up at first, but may not be as absorbent as you might need.

The quilt batting won't hold up and will just make the pad poofier. If it is good towel terry then that should be pretty absorbant on its own. I also don't have any pads with waterproofing and it has never been a problem for me.
