Well, yes, holding anything tightly is a bad thing. I once held this clay figure in my hands and was watching a very close India vs NZ match and I held it tightly and it crumbled. You get the picture.

on a serious note.

People just dont realize that by holding on to something so tight, they just lose it. live and let live! why bother whether you have control over the sand in your hands?

This is precisely how lives and relationships get complicated and out of hand.

Sometimes, you need to hold on tight, its the only way some can let go you see. Sort of like dobermans, since you like dogs and all. Dobermans they can't let go unless they chew out a piece of you, or bark themselves hoarse...

it's funny how some of the hardest problems in life have the simplest of solutions.. but I guess the human brain is this machine made to churn out complications! It's compelled to feed/exercise other irrepressible emotions like anger, insecurity, jealousy, greed.. etc. We just need to give it a rest don't we.. relax more. breathe more. count 1 to 10... 100 if necessary.
