I wish there was a way for me to filter LJ posts based on content, similar to how you can set up email filters to automatically send emails into folders. I don't want to de-friend certain people or set up a friends' group that doesn't include them, because when they post "real" entries I'm always interested in what they say, but I do wish I could ( Read more... )

Oh my god do I feel your pain. People tell me "MAKE FILTERS" but I'm not interested in doing that for several reasons.

Twitter shouldn't even be ALLOWED on LJ. UGH. Don't get me started! lol

I agree completely. I'd like to friend people one tag at a time (or exclusing one tag at a time ;) ), and I think twitter reposters should tag entries automatically.

If that happens, I look forward to an LJ drama-detection algorithm that will automatically tag drama posts, too...

I am unspeakably tired of receiving updates from facebook, lj, twitter, and lj that person x forgot their keycard today. Blurts meet none of the weeb requirements of noteworthy - they are boring no matter what the medium!

Omg YES. I agree sooooo hard.

If you write a journal and feel the need to update everyone on it to let them know you forgot your keycard...or that you've been waiting too long for your food to be served...you shouldn't be allowed to have a journal! Stick with your precious Twitter and leave the journals to those of us who actually use a journal to--gasp!--WRITE.
