I've been going through some of my friend's LJ entries from the past month, since I haven't been on too much. I think to an extent, no father wants to give his daughter away. But there's a point where you just have to let your children live their own life. I'm sorry that things are so rough with your families. :-/

At least your boyfriend didn't decide to steal a gorilla from the zoo so that he can take bananas from palm trees (yes I know, bananas don't grow on palm trees) and name the gorilla Melvin. I bring this up because it only takes place AFTER we get married. So in case your boyfriend is anything like mine... don't take him to the zoo. Not that I've ever taken Barry to the zoo. We saw Madagascar together, does that count?
Oh yeah- I had a point to all of this. But I forgot it somewhere after Melvin. (he he he... MELVIN.)

The first of my high school friends to get married did so last summer, and it was very very strange to be at her wedding. A girl from my church is getting married in a few weeks, and she's even younger than I am! Granted, they've been dating for 3-4 years now, but it still seems so soon.
My mother was in college when I was very young. But she dropped out to save money when I was 5, because we had to move to follow Dad's new job. She went back when I was in high school, and took 1-2 classes a semester until she graduated.
