You have a great goal. I don't really like wine, I prefer sweet champagne or sparkling wine, but I drink it very rarely, on holidays.

Ah, I'm not a fan of fizzy drinks (soft or alcoholic). If I was just a social drinker, it wouldn't be an issue, but Mr Dizzo and me got into the habit of relaxing most evenings with a glass - or two - of wine. It was nice, but not good for us!

Good luck with it!

Thank you! It would be so much easier if I liked soft drinks, but a lot of them are disgustingly sweet, and I really don't care for fizzy drinks (except, oddly enough, tonic water, and I think I like that because it has that 'piquancy' you find with white wine. At the moment, I'm experimenting with alcohol free wines. Most of them taste like sweet, cloying grape juice, but there's one or two which are ok.

Yep, I have a problem with sweetness in soft drinks too. I've been trying kombucha but you probably wouldn't go for that anyway, because it's slightly fizzy. I find when it loses it's fizz it's too strongly flavoured (and sweet tasting even though it is naturally sugar free), so I'm still looking for a no-calorie healthy alternative to diet coke. My problem is I love a fizz or I could just stick to water!

Good luck. I know giving up anything, even temporarily can be hard, but you guys can do it.
