Thanks for the info, and the site from beelikej, which I hadn't seen even though I follow her... I am glad there's an option to make it a PDF. It's trying to import mine right now... I hope it works, but I do sort of think of it as a transient medium, where once some time has passed, I don't look back on my own entries much. Fic is a different story. I'm glad I discovered how great Ao3 is for fic.

I agree with you, I'm so happy I've got AO3 and Fanfiction as online homes for my fic. I will be more sad to lose the personal interaction on Lj. I'm so pleased though that I know most of you guys on other platforms now xx

I'm jennytork on DW. And on AO3. I have SO MANY STORIES only on LJ and no backups. dumb I know. so...

I hope you can get your fic backed up.
Of course, there's always the possibility that nothing will happen to Lj, but things are so crazy at the moment who knows?

Thank you for letting me know. This stinks. I've used this site since 2011, and it's been great writing my personal thoughts and reviews every day. Guess I better move to Dreamwidth, and thankfully, the importing process didn't have any issues for me.

Thanks for spreading the word! I have now also found a method to download all images from my LJ scrapbook, all neatly sorted in folders with the file names! I wrote a step-by-step in my Dreamwidth.
I added you to my DW circle.

FYI: I also updated the Quicky_Bang community on DW ;-)
