The cross has saved us so we pray

Remember these posts? Last week, an Armidale gang trundled down again to Katoomba for the fabulous KYLC (now renamed NextGen just so we are all confused). We spent an incredible week getting stuck into God's word, honing our youth leadership and Bible Study writing skills, challenging and praying for each other. Coming back home was a bit like falling off a spiritual high, but I just keep reminding myself that we've got heaven to look forward to. It'll be like NextGen, but a million, trillion times bigger and better!

I'm looking forward to the Christian stuff that I'll be involved with this year. I'll continue co leading the music team - we're planning a music conference for early May which will be fab! I'm on the committee for the brand new UNitEdinc group (Christian Students on Campus) which will kick off in the first week of uni. We are small, but our God is big and I have no doubt that while there will be struggles and birthing pains as we get this group off the ground, that God will do amazing things. I'm looking forward to meeting new Christian students who might be feeling alone or overwhelmed in the midst of their new uni life, and sharing about Jesus with those who don't yet know Him.

NextGen was such a fabulous way to begin such a big year!

Here are the seven of us from St Pete's, Armidale (most of the back row), plus the group we were accommodated with for the week, our lovely cook Amy, and our adorable Austrian site hosts Stephan and Claudia. Yay for Kadumba!

Tomorrow I'm heading south yet again, to help Fran move into college in Sydney and visit with family for a week. I guess one day soon, these holidays will end!
