And then click on 'Contact Customer Support Report breaches of eBay policy or problems with another eBay member.' and explain in detail what happened, how much you paid, how you paid etc.
Been there! I've ben up since absurd o'clock panicking this morning! I requested his details, but they are "incorrect" so I went on the BT phonebook page and got his number from there. Am going to keep calling until I get an answer! I've reported it to ebay, so I guess all I can do now is wait. Am just a little disenchanted, as this is my first time using ebay!
Sorry it sounds like you got stung. That's a shame, because I used Ebay in over 60 transactions and only ever had 2 problems (one book was lost in the mail, one game was NOT complete when it said it was). I sold all my stuff without major hassle, and bought some expensive Xmas presents that worked out fine.
I would suggest getting PayPal at some point in time, too. They cover transactions too, so if you get stung they will help you out. Ebay should help you, though. I'm not sure what they'll be able to do, but keep trying.
One more warning about DVDs on Ebay - be careful of buying season sets on there, as there are lots of cheap poor quality bootleg imports from China. If the art doesn't match the official release, it comes from Hong Kong, or it's region 0, beware.
That really sucks that you got stung on your first transaction, though. I hope Ebay is able to hassle the guy enough that he coughs up the DVDs.
