He's seen her around before, and he doesn't know if it was because she looks like those sorceresses in the books he got from the library, or because her waitress uniform is really cute, but all Seifer knows is that he wants her.
One evening he sees her running away from some soldiers. When she turns up to thank him, he gives her an ultimatum: imprisonment or a meal of her choice. He would have thought it was a simple one. She gets angry, but she goes, and he doesn't even get annoyed when she pointedly orders two bottles of champagne.

He is fighting all those words he really wants to say. Spiteful, caustic words but words that would also reveal to her how weak he really was. How he felt like a child when he saw her dancing with him, and how he thought she was his girl, but then that would be saying that he wanted her as something more than a memory.
Somewhere, deep down, he thought this would be it. He'd be a SeeD and then he would try and be the man she deserved.
