video properties / advanced / monitor / screen refresh rate = 60.

I suppose I'll just pony up the funds... I will need a blue-ray eventually anyway.

Sometimes there's a way to make the settings panel show non-standard resolutions. Without being there to see and fiddle, I don't think I can be much more help.
