Sickening

I just read this in the guestbook on the memorial site for Lindsay Burke. It makes me so sick to my stomach and so angry that I am literally shaking at my desk right now:

the whole situation is sad.

i don't think i can comment as i don't know how i feel.
i would love to beat the shit out of the person who wrote this but that wouldn't do any good. can this kind of person be helped? i have to think that reaching out to such a sick person would be the right way to go about things.

There is no way this person can be helped. Apparently the whole family is abusive and violent. Gerardo's lawyers said that he could "be rehabilitated" in an attempt for a lesser sentence but the judge didn't buy it and remarked on how he seemed to show no remorse for what he'd done to Lindsay.

I must disagree with you on the reaching out. I belong to the camp that feels that the best way to deal with sick persons such as these is to take them out behind the chemical sheds and shoot them in the face.
