I really wish I didn't have to worry about a job right now. Things are awful, I feel miserable, and so much is going on that a job right now would just be added stress. But without a job, things are MORE stressful, so that is why I need to obtain one, and fastWe found out the severity of Daniel's father's condition last Saturday. It was a really ( Read more... )

oh i'm sorry honey.
will a nurse be coming to take care of him during the day? when my grandmother was really ill before she passed she had a nurse that came and stayed with her during the day. i think its called hospice. maybe you and daniel could look into that and see if you can arrange it so dottie wont have to take care of him ALL of the time.

Hospice is for patients with an irreversible illness.. There's still chance that he might come out of it, but Hospice patients really dont have much hope at all...

He has his medical nurses coming in during the day on and off to do the things that Dottie can't do, but other than that, there really isn't much else. And I am afriad that Dottie wouldn't take the help if we offered SOME sort of resort. I dont think i have EVER seen that woman sit down and take a break.

Nonno had hospice there when he went into his coma. If it makes you feel any better, Sarah, they were really good. Much better than the caregivers he had in the hospital for SURE. In fact, they were so great that when Nonno passed away, his wife and my mom asked everyone to donate to hospice in lieu of flowers. Of course, no one did because flowers in the shape of the cross is necessary when you're a Poveromo. Brilliance. Which goes along with my "god" comment you posted (no, I will not capitalize it -- he wouldn't deserve it even if he proved to exist). I don't understand ( ... )

i kind of understand what bob is saying, hes not araid of death because he believes god is waiting for him, and he will be even happier when he leaves this plane of existance. I'm glad hes still optamistic about it, he could be upset, depressed and upset but he still keeps his chin up. you cant get mad at him for believing something, atleast its that, and hes happy he has daniel, rob and dottie, and is looking forward to heaven. I dont know, i guess im wrong again, but im glad he thinks the way he does, thats whats important.

I wish i could have gotten to know him =| anyways call me sometime if you need to talk cera, plz <3

Also, my not-by-grandfather Vic who recently passed from lung cancer, well, his wife as also named Dottie and she helped him through a lot. There were times, though, she was grateful when someone came and took her for coffee or stopped by her place to deliver her a latte of some sort. Maybe Daniel could spend the night there over the weekend, or something? Like I said, if you want to go, I can be on Kaidan duty! :)
