[a nice pleasant humming can be heard in the background]
... [from this quiet and calm atmosphere, the communicator device 'beeps' a couple times]

... [a couple steps follows getting a louder then a pause]
Why did it just do that...[sound of grabbing possibly picking it up then---'ZAPPPPP!']
AHH!! [following the device dropping]

Sure. Of course--so I'll be right there.
[A few minutes later, he crosses onto Latimir street and over broken concrete and refuse. A few people pass at a distance next to him--but he doesn't bother to wave, as he's not the most social person. He tugs his hat down almost over his eyes while looking around for Dizzy.]

[Shinji crosses over to her with a little smirk on his face. Words of comfort never quite came easy to him, but he offers anyway. Something about her stance makes him drop his hand on her head, for a moment.]
C'mon. This won't be so bad.. lets go.
[With that, he starts off, his red coat billowing after him.]

I'm fine, I just--haven't really left here.
[Twiddling her fingers, Dizzy follows next to Shinji. Her red hues scans from left then right passing the buildings.]

Yeah, this city's kinda dangerous, but you've got me to show you around. So, don't worry.
[The buildings pass them in a similar blur of cracked windows and alleys. The sky seems higher than usual today, dark with small clouds drifting across. He gives the streets a few turns, keeping her with him, and strays near to the bar. He doesn't really consider it dangerous--few creatures wander there, though it does happen at times.]
How come Testament doesn't take you out here? Or Johnny?

[Another pleasant smile as she views around her. She lifts her head up to the sky brushing a couple strains of blue hair a side. The area felt new to her, someplace where she hasn't gone before.]
Well..Testament is currently out looking for them, I promised I'd wait. And Johnny was recently injured by someone. I couldn't ask them yet.

[A couple of weird shadows ripple out behind a building. In mid-sentence, Shinji stops and shoves Dizzy behind him. A couple of snuffling sounds echo out as well.]
Damn. I think we've got a couple dogs near us.. Stay quiet. Maybe they'll run off.

[Waiting patiently, the Gear waits to hear if the dogs have left, or a response from Shinji. Still waiting, a snarl can be heard behind them. Hearing the snarl, the girl turns around very slowly almost dazing. Her eyes widen seeing one dog already behind them ready to move forward. With a leap, the dog lunges towards Dizzy jaws open. Instantly, the girl cover her eyes ready to unleash her reptile tail.]

[Four dark shapes unfurl from the building, gleaming slick and wet dark like old blood. They lope towards them as though merely curious about the two. Shinji presses an arm between them and Dizzy, starts to reach for his axe--when he hears a snarl -behind- them as well.]
What?! Fuck this..
[He turns his back on the slower dogs and focuses on the one attacking Dizzy. One swipe of the axe knocks its throat clean open, leaving the body to twitch on the ground. However--that leaves its friends. When he turns back--all are suddenly up close.]
Keep behind me, Dizzy. Don't worry. I won't let these bastards get at you.
[As he watches, a fourth one slides in to group up with its fellows. Damn. A whole pack.]

Alright.
[Dizzy stands behind him watching another dog joining the group. A sadden to her eyes worrying.]
I'm sorry. If I can use my powers, I could help you.

[He swings down in a heavy cutting arc and takes out the first creature. Its blood oozes into the air and spatters the leaping bodies of two other dogs. Too close for his axe. He lunges forward and cracks his own skull across one dog, sending it flying. However, the other one manages to knock him flat on the ground.]
?! Damn.. [A searing pain shoots up his left forearm. It feels heavier--but he has no time to look at it. That dog, and its remaining partner both have started to edge toward Dizzy.]
Hell no. How bout this? [He aims a low, sweeping blow and slices off the back legs of the dogs. It slows them long enough for him to scramble up and deliver severing blows to each neck.]
See.. that wasn't so bad, Dizzy.. [Aside from the carnage. Then he chances a look at his left arm, and notices there is a sharp looking wooden piece lodged part of the way in.]
God damn it! I don't have anything to patch up my coat with..

Are you...[A small gasps escapes seeing a wooden piece embedded on his arm. Dizzy slowly walks towards him gently touching his left arm.]

[As he waves it off, a rivulet of red flows down the stake, followed by more. Not a torrent, but definitely blood.]
It doesn't uh. Hurt much. I can handle it.. [His arm tightens a little when touched.]
It's fine. Do you have any bandages back at your place? Better not rip it out until I've got something like that..
..Hey. Are you all right? You didn't get hurt, did you?

[Looking at the blood, Dizzy removes one of her yellow bandanna's from one of her tied hairs. Gently she begins to wrap her bandanna around the wood hoping to stop the blood at least.]
There, that should shop for now. Yes, we should have some back home.
