So, I think I'm getting ultra paranoid.  I'm currently reading "The Republican's War on Science" and am beginning to think that we in the US have royally fucked ourselves in terms of regulating the poison that our culture passes off as food, or toys or environmental science.  Terrifying stuff indeed.  I thought it was just our backwards issue with

i dunno if the problem is courts deciding things that science should....but courts NEEDING to decide questions that scientific evidence SHOULD be enough to settle
