The Sign Reads: Overcast Skies Ahead

Driving through Salem this morning at 3am with the police scanner on reminded me that we all live in our own little nitch, and that not everyone is fast asleep in bed ( Read more... )

Things will get better. It's been my experience that when it rains it pours and before anything gets better, everything gets worse. If you can stick it out through that, which I have no doubt in my mind that you can, then you'll find your rainbow.

I'm sorry that things are rough for you right now. I wish I could offer more than just words, but that's all I have right now. Someday, I'll make it out to visit.

I like the quote. If you need anything, I'll be around.

Thanks. I loved the quote as soon as I read it, so I think I'll add it to my list of classics. I know it'll pass, it's just weathering the storm that's the hard part sometimes.

How can the world not have more people like you? That's not fair. You see things as they really are, rather than as they appear to be. You don't just notice the outwardly appearance; you see something more in people--good and bad.

Why don't you do that with yourself? Don't look at yourself in the mirror; read what you've written. You can put your thoughts into words that other people have no idea how to express.

I don't know you, but I wish I did. No, what I really wish is that I had someone like you around--someone to learn from. Someone REAL. Not just another "dude" with hurt feelings. There's more to you, o much more. I see it, and I don't even know you. Why don't you see it?

I'm not sure. I think it would make the world less exciting (or something along these lines) if more people actually had a clue.

I was taught to read beyond the surface, and not stop until I understood things as much as I could possibly handle. I treat life like a book; I won't stop reading until I've reached the end.

I just wish more people thought as much of me as you do...respect's hard to come by. I know there's more to me; however, the problem is that lack of faith by others influences the faith within yourself. If more people had faith in me, perhaps I'd have more faith in myself. Opposition is hard to deal with in certain situations.

Perhaps one day I'll finally realize it to its full potential. Perhaps I'm already on the road to doing so...

If you treat life like a book ,you could fly through it. Don't dwell on the little details, but don't skip over the main events. Live if thoroughly but not quickly. Enjoy it. Get something out of it.

I understand what you're saying about faith. Like a great deal of confidence comes to you from the reactions you get from others. Of course, I want to spit out a "why do you care what other people think? so what if they don't believe in you? That shouldn's top you." However, I know exactly what you mean. Reactions usually do influence you to do or not to do something.

Try not to let things get to you. And I don't think a few more people like you would make the world less exciting. It's exciting to see a different view--a real view.

EDIT: I write too much. But, mostly all I wanted to get across was the fact that I think you see so much more around you than the everyday person happens to see, and I appreciate that about you. I just think it's somewhat amusing how I barely know you, and really wish I did know someone more like you.

That's it.

Bethany.
