#18 - I wonder how far they are in the development of artificial life. It would be a nice question to simulate or possibly let a computer work on. Take one element out of life as we know it and see what happens... I'm betting the answer would be 42, though. :)
The only possible answer is 42 (notice the number of questions... 24.. 42 backwards *creepy* =P)
I don't think there are many things you could take out of our live's and it wouldn't have a drastic change. Religion, for instance, has created laws, wars, faith, morals, bigotry. Inherantly it's a good thing, but when you add greed and pride in, it becomes a problem. Pride in "your" religion over "their" religion, or the greed for money, or for power...
I think it would be awesome to simulate life like that, but unless you can make a computer to make irrational decisions when faced with "obvious" logic, I don't think it's really possible to make a good simulation. For instance, making an emotional decision, as opposed to a logical decision.
